I loved my service, being new to the city and this state I didn't know where to turn. With a wheel baring out its a necessity to get it fixed. Being a woman who doesn't know mechanics, I didn't want to be ripped off as this has happened before. But I felt comfortable with honest 1, and jeff who helped me was a wonderful help and was very flexible with my schedule.

Am grateful you pursued an alternate solution (& much less costly) to the concern that the warning lights were indicating.

They helped to explain that changing a low beam bulb on a 2005 Honda Accord is more difficult than presented in the owner's manual and involves removing tires to gain access. Worth the cost involved. Even videos about doing it showed the removal of fenders to gain access. Honda has made changes regarding access after 2007.

I brought my vehicle in for a oil change and the wait was short and I knew of a tie rod that was loose, but didn't say anything to see if they would suggest anything. Honest - 1 did mention there were some other things that should be addressed. However it was 6 different things that were "broken" and needed to be repaired for more than $1,500 dollars. When I asked for an itemized list I noticed the labor costs were double from what dealerships charge and wanted to shop around first. I took my vehicle to 2 other places for opinions and specifically asked about the items Honest-1 listed as bad. They both said there was nothing wrong with those items, but did point out the tie rod. I did get one tie rod fixed at the dealership for $235 and saved $1,300+ by not following the bad advice from Honest-1

Over the phone, the agent quoted $991.00 for a repair. When I mentioned a second place quoting blindly at $500, this agent managed to reduce his bid to $663.69. I did not see that as "satisfying the customer". Why couldn't he charge that in the first place?? When I decided it was worth it to tow the vehicle to another location, the agent tried to charge me a diagnostic fee, which he had never before mentioned. At this point, I was afraid to agree to anything over the phone, because imagine how he would manipulate the final bill! Honestly, Honest 1 could not be more slimy and crooked. At least they have a great waiting room though, right? I sincerely hope that that agent is just one bad apple in the bushel.

We are sorry that you did not have a satisfactory experience. It is difficult to quote estimates over the phone as we have not seen the vehicle. Prices can vary dramatically based on inspections. We prefer to inspect the vehicle before giving estimate. That way, you know exactly what is needed.
